What's up

So, I'm starting up a new blog to keep people up on what's going on with my munchkins...   well and me and Marty.
Hmmm...   so I guess I should start with Marty since not all of you know about him.  Marty is my super awesome amazing fantastic fiance. We don't have a date set, but as soon as we know, you will know. Marty just finished editing his first novel in a series he is writing.  We are hoping that eventually he can be a full time author, but until then, he is also working as a quality manager. He has six children from his previous marraiges. Two boys,Shaun (who has a lovely daugher named Breeze) and Jordan; and four girls Jenny (married to Ralph and expecting their first child), Nickie, Katie, and Amy. Since they will be a part of my family, they are a huge part in my life and I am sure you will see and here plenty about them.
I am now full time crazy. Oops, I mean homeschooling.  I get am homeschooling Sara and Piero through K12 http://www.k12.com/which is an online public school system. They are a nation wide program that connects you to online schools that use their curriculum. We are in a hybrid program at Southern California Online Academy (SCOA) http://www.socalonlineacademy.com/ . Most of the supplies we need are provided.  We still need to guarantee internet connection and all the normal things like crayons, pens, pencils, paper, and other supplies. We go on campus once a week for group lessons from their teachers there and Sara is able to go once a week for support from her special ed. case manager. We need to log in to the site every day and access the scheduled classes.  We also need to turn in work samples every week. It is helpful to keep the homeschoolers honest and also keep the teachers in the know of how the kids are doing.  The teachers are a great support.  We are in good communication and they have been a great help to me when I have had struggles with specific areas in teaching. We also have an online class we can attend with the teachers once or twice a week.  It's pretty cool.  Ok, I am just trying to explain it a bit so you can understand when I talk about it.  Basically this is the majority of my life.  I make teach, feed, clean, chaparone, taxi, and manage my children.  On the side I get to sleep and sometimes relax. Hahahahaha.  I am attempting to start doing cartooning on the side.  I am excited for it!
Ok, now to the main stuff... the kids.  Obviously schooling has been covered so you don't need a lot of detail there.  Sara is doing really well.  She is in a special program to help her catch up on her reading and it really has improved a ton since she started a week ago. She is also taking art and soon will start German.  When we can afford it I would like to get her into guitar lessons. Sara has a lot of girls her age in church and enjoys Activity days twice a month (for girls 8-11 at church). She will be 9 on October 6th!
Piero is also taking art and will start German soon.  I am hoping to get him in cub scouts now that he is 6. He has told me he wants to be a graphic novelist and we have started working on a comic strip.  He loves drawing super heros and monsters of all kinds.
America is now 3 working on 13.  She is a cutie, but has a little 'tude on her at times.  We are working on potty training...   unsuccessfully.  She told me the other day that she likes her daipers and doesn't want to use the potty.  Calcinhas (panites) are for Mommy and Sissy.  *sigh* Any advice is welcome. She is learning shapes, colors, numbers, and alphabets during preschool time we have once a day.  She loves going to nursery, but I think she will be in shock when she is a sunbeam... Oh no... I can't believe it's only a few months until she's a sunbeam.  Eeeek!
That's it for now. Love ya!
